PRIVACY POLICY
This policy explains what personal information buysolars.com collects, why, and what happens to it. It covers the website and any dealings with us on WhatsApp.
What we collect
For a quotation we normally take your name, phone number, city, address or roof location, and a copy of your electricity bill. The bill contains your consumer number, the name on the connection, the service address and your consumption history, so we treat it as sensitive.
For a net metering application we additionally need documents the distribution company requires, which typically include a CNIC copy, ownership or tenancy proof and system drawings. This is the most sensitive material we handle and it exists in our records only because the application cannot be filed without it.
For installations we hold site photographs, survey notes, equipment serial numbers and your system configuration. Payments by bank transfer show us the reference and the name on the transfer. We do not process card payments on this website and we do not store card numbers.
When you browse, our hosting and analytics tools may log your IP address, device and browser type, and the pages you opened. That is aggregate traffic data.
Why we use it
To prepare your quotation, size your system, carry out the installation, file your net metering application, invoice you, and support a warranty claim later. Serial numbers and system records are kept because a panel warranty can run 25 years and a claim that far out needs proof of what was installed and when.
We do not sell your data and we do not pass your number to lead sellers.
Who we share it with
Installation and survey teams see the address and contact details they need to reach you. Your net metering documents go to your distribution company and, where required, to NEPRA, because that is the purpose you gave them to us for. Serial numbers and fault details go to a manufacturer or distributor when we file a warranty claim. Couriers get the delivery address for equipment shipments. We disclose information if a court or government authority in Pakistan lawfully requires it.
Conversations on WhatsApp are also governed by WhatsApp’s own privacy policy, which we do not control. Please send CNIC copies and ownership documents only when we ask for them for your net metering file, and not before.
Cookies
The site uses cookies for basic functions and traffic measurement. You can block or delete them in your browser, though some features may stop working.
How long we keep it
Net metering documents are retained for the period the application and any subsequent query requires. System and warranty records are kept for the life of the equipment warranty plus whatever accounting rules demand. Quotations that never became orders are cleared out periodically.
Your choices
Message 03192070022 to see what we hold, correct it, or ask us to delete it. We will delete anything we are not legally required to keep. Reply STOP to any message to be removed from our contact list.
Children
The site is intended for adults making a purchase. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
