What the panel is
The 720W belongs to Jinko’s Tiger Neo family, commonly listed as JKM720N-66HL5-BDV. It uses N-type TOPCon cells in a bifacial dual-glass construction, with 66 cells in a half-cut configuration.
TOPCon, short for tunnel oxide passivated contact, is the technology that replaced P-type PERC as the mainstream standard. Compared with the older panels still floating around Pakistani markets, TOPCon gives you better efficiency, better low-light behaviour, lower degradation year on year, and noticeably better performance when the panel gets hot. In a country where roof surface temperature can pass 65°C in June, that last point is not a marketing line.
Jinko has shipped over 400 GW of modules worldwide, with the Tiger Neo series alone passing 200 GW of shipments by late 2025. Roughly one in seven solar modules installed globally comes from Jinko. That scale is relevant when you are relying on a warranty that has to still exist in fifteen years.
The company has also launched the Tiger Neo 3.0 generation, which uses next-generation TOPCon cells with cell efficiency up to 27 percent and module efficiency up to 24.8 percent, with a bifaciality factor of 85 percent plus or minus 5 and a temperature coefficient around -0.26 percent per degree. Availability of specific 3.0 wattages in Pakistan varies by shipment, so ask what generation you are actually being offered.

Note that the per-watt rate on the 720W is often slightly below the premium back-contact modules, even though the panel price is higher. You are buying more watts, not more expensive watts. That distinction matters when you compare quotes.
Where the 720W makes sense
Large arrays. This is the clearest case. On a 100kW commercial rooftop, using 720W modules instead of 585W ones removes about thirty-two panels from the job. That is thirty-two fewer sets of clamps, sixty-four fewer connectors, less cable, fewer labour hours and a simpler string layout. On a big installation the balance-of-system saving is real money.
Ground mount and reflective surfaces. The bifacial dual-glass build genuinely earns its keep when the rear face has something to work with. Light-coloured ground, sand, gravel, a white-painted roof, or a raised structure with clearance underneath. Jinko’s bifacial performance is among the strongest in the market, and on the right site the rear-side contribution is a meaningful addition rather than a rounding error.
Hot sites. TOPCon’s temperature behaviour makes this a sensible choice for southern Punjab, Sindh and Balochistan, where afternoon heat losses on older panels are severe.
Where it makes less sense. Small residential roofs. A 720W panel is physically large and heavy, awkward to carry up a domestic staircase, and difficult to fit efficiently around water tanks, stairwell housings and parapet walls. On a typical 120 or 240 square yard house roof, a 585W or 615W module often fits the available shape better and wastes less space, even though it is nominally less efficient.
Size, in other words, is not always an advantage. The panel that fits your roof beats the panel with the bigger number on it.

The Longi is more efficient per square metre. The Jinko gives more watts per panel. On a big project the Jinko usually wins on installed cost per kilowatt. Both are Tier-1 modules from manufacturers with real presence in Pakistan. You are not choosing between a good panel and a bad one.
Design points worth getting right
Weight and lifting. This is a large, heavy module. Two people minimum, three on a difficult roof. Factor hoisting into your installation plan for anything above a single storey, and confirm the roof structure can take the distributed load.
Rear clearance. If you are paying for bifacial and then flush-mounting the array tight against a dark roof, you have wasted the feature. Raise the structure. Keep the space beneath clear and light-coloured.
String voltage in cold weather. High-wattage modules run higher voltages, and open-circuit voltage rises as temperature falls. Size your strings against the coldest morning your location will see, not against a summer datasheet figure. This trips up installers in the north regularly.
Row spacing. Bigger panels cast longer shadows. Rows that were fine with 550W modules will self-shade in December with 720W ones. Recalculate the pitch rather than reusing an old layout.
Verification. Check the nameplate on the rear against the invoice. Model code, wattage, Voc, Isc and a machine-printed serial. Photograph every serial when the pallet is opened. Relabelled P-type panels sold as N-type remain a live problem in this market, and the label on the front tells you nothing.
What it actually produces
Nameplate power is measured at 1000 W/m² and 25°C cell temperature. Your roof will not oblige.
In Pakistani conditions, a single 720W module realistically delivers around 2.9 to 3.4 units a day averaged across the year. Fifteen of them, forming a 10.8kW array, land somewhere between 1,200 and 1,450 units a month, with spring the strongest season and December and January the weakest.
Regional variation is significant. Sindh, southern Punjab and Balochistan out-produce the Lahore and Gujranwala belt, largely because of winter fog. Coastal Karachi does well on irradiance but gives some of it back to humidity and dust accumulation.
Bifacial gain sits on top of those numbers when the site supports it. On a well-raised structure over a light surface, the rear contribution can add a useful percentage. Flush against dark concrete, assume close to nothing and be pleasantly surprised if you get more.
Keeping it working
Dust is the largest avoidable loss in this country and it is worse on large-format panels simply because there is more glass to coat. Wash every two to four weeks in dry season with plain water and a soft brush, early in the morning before the glass heats up. Never spray cold water onto hot glass.
Check the inverter’s daily generation figure monthly against the seasonal range above. A drop that does not recover after a wash usually means a loose connector, a failed string or a shaded module rather than a defective panel.
Once a year, inspect structure bolts, earthing continuity and DC connectors. Wind loading on a 720W module is higher than on a smaller panel, so fasteners deserve more attention, not less.
